Only A Pavement Away is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals facing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans in overcoming barriers to employment and rebuilding their lives.
Founded by representatives from the hospitality industry, Only A Pavement Away’s mission is “to act as an effective conduit between forward-thinking hospitality employers and charities”. Their goal is to create employment opportunities within the hospitality sector for those in need of it.
We are proud to have worked on multiple projects with Only A Pavement Away, sharing in their commitment to making a meaningful difference and empowering individuals to transform their futures.
Cook & Dine 2024
We were delighted to be invited to the Honourable Artillery Company in London to capture Cook & Dine, one of Only A Pavement Away’s annual fundraising events.
Cook & Dine is a highly anticipated event that celebrates & showcases the finest in UK hospitality. It “brings together industry guests and volunteers from all backgrounds, experiences, and seniority levels who cook, serve, and dine together”, in a unique display of collaboration and community.
The 2024 event was attended by 350 hospitality professionals and raised an incredible £40,000.
Our role was to capture the event in an inspiring and uplifting manner, providing a comprehensive summary of the day from beginning to end.
Hospitality In Action
Only A Pavement Away asked us to create a video that highlights the unique appeal of the hospitality industry and the benefits of pursuing a career within it.
This video serves as a powerful tool for the charity at recruitment fairs, aiming to inspire job seekers to explore rewarding career opportunities in the hospitality sector.
Over the course of two weeks, we travelled across London, working closely with the charity, engaging with enthusiastic members, and experiencing firsthand the vibrant spirit of the hospitality industry. Our team visited numerous pubs, bars, and restaurants to capture dynamic footage showcasing "Hospitality in Action." We also conducted interviews with passionate industry professionals, gathering their insights and personal stories about what makes working in hospitality so rewarding.
We thrive on opportunities to learn and immerse ourselves in new industries, and this project was no exception.

As a charity, Only A Pavement Away depends on crucial support from its partners. Our team was tasked with creating a testimonial-style video showcasing some of the organisation’s key supporters.
The aim of this video was to highlight and endorse the charity’s work while encouraging new partners to join and support its campaign.
We had the privilege of interviewing CEOs from the British Beer & Pub Association, Gaucho, The Restaurant Group, The Wolseley Hospitality Group, Fuller’s, and Greene King. It was inspiring to hear their positive perspectives on the charity and learn how they collaborate with Only A Pavement Away to drive meaningful change for those facing unemployment.
